The office of Jose Reyes, Department Head of Nuclear Engineering & Radiation Health Physics (NERHP), won't win any interior design awards: acoustic tile ceiling, linoleum floors, functional furniture, lots of books and papers, and world-class art on the walls. Say what?

The surprising art gallery in Reyes' office consists of three oil paintings by American artist, Alfred R. Mitchell, famous for his early California landscapes. The valuable paintings were donated to NERHP by emeriti OSU faculty, Dr. Alan Robinson and his wife, Kay, who also sponsor the annual Robinson Scholarship for Juniors and Seniors in NERHP.

In addition to gifts of cash or securities, OSU welcomes donations of items that can be used by a department such as technical equipment or lab supplies. Valuable gifts like rare books and paintings may be donated as well. Selected items from these donations may become part of the permanent collections of the college.
