OSU Students Dominate American Nuclear Society Awards

Nuclear Engineering & Radiation Health Physics (NERHP) students took home 5 of 15 awards for Best Presentation at the 2009 American Nuclear Society student conference in April. Competing with over 100 students from all over the country, the OSU contingent presented recent work to an audience of their peers and were judged by industry leaders on originality, coherence, and validity of methods. Topics included Fuel Recycling, Advanced Reactor Design, and Radiation Therapy. Winning papers were presented by graduate students Mike Ryan, Brian Jackson, Alex Brown, Alexei Soldatov, and undergraduate Alex Mieloszyk.
